More than likely there's something on your mind or you're generally unhappy.
Could be but maybe not. I used to sleep walk and i hadnt anything on my mind. I broke a sterio, pulled a shelf down and once woke up in the back garden. In fact it was my sleep walking episodes that made me realise the power of the human mind. I dont sleep walk anymore and couldnt tell you when it stopped. I never gave it any power over me, never said anything about it and never took too much notice of it (i know that this is easier said than done) and sure as hell never said i had a problem. One girl i knew vowed never to sleep with me again (she didnt keep her word. What a liar).
never slept in my birthday suit though,

Sleeping is horrible. It's like being dead. And you're going to be dead forever. Surely it should be unnecessary from a biological point of view.
Unless you have a girl with big boobies nearby. In that case, lay me down.

You know a lot of disorders are food related so look at you diet, give up coffee, cola any of these items which make you hyperactive you would be suprised how some of the additives like the sweetners added to minerals can effect you.
Or just have a good hard shag beforehand I always find this helps me sleep.
Lavender oil is supposed to be good
Try not to use your bedroom for anything like television, or your laptop. Have a set time each evening that you 'finish' all activities, take a warm bath, and if you cannot sleep do not get up. Even if your mind is active, your body is getting the rest it requires. If the situation becomes chronic it is time to see a doctor.
If life gives you lemons ask for Tequila
Only sad bastards seek gratification from signatures
I hear chlorophorm works wonders

Seriously its usuallt a stress related issue.
Are you stressed?
If so talk to your doc and dont leave him prescribe his way out of it
If that donst work get a behavioural therapist and they should be able to help
If it is stress you could get selective serrotonin reuptakes which like Poggo says are neurotransmitters and they should help.
I had that problem several years ago, between October and April I couldn't fall asleep until 8am. I drank some Dandelion tea I got from a health food store for at least 5 times a day for about a week, and it went away, never to bother my again. Now, Dandelion isn't known for putting one to sleep, but what it's known for curing ( removing toxins for the body-good for the liver, and if the root is used, the kindeys)is what must of cause my insomnia.
