So true. I just registered on it while back to shut everybody up. Would go on and on about it saying how the hell aren’t you on it. Only log on once in a blue moon.

Asked a chica out while back and she was obsessed with it (like most birds). Would spend hours everyday facebooking, like it’s a social therapy or something. Got sick of each other a month later anyway. So was glad didn’t have to hear her ranting on and on about how “cool” it was

What has this world come to......

I love facebook immensely, it's great for the local music scene here. Organising gigs, sharing (legally) new music etc..
I would have to say that my real world social life has improved immensely due to it. I'm constantly meeting up with people I haven't seen in years and never would have were it not for facebook. I don't wanna jump the gun either, but my punting days may be coming to an end this December due largely to facebook...

Twitter is great if you follow the right people. I never actually tweet but I read it 5/6 times a day in work and it's great. Always learn something new about something. But you gotta be selective, don't follow people you like, follow people who are good twitterers (if you get me).
I would say to anyone with kids though, supervision, supervision, supervision. Never let them on the computer alone until it's a computer they bought with their first pay packet..

Here's a tale of what happens when 11 year old girls have knuckle dragging troglodytes for parents, a webcam and unrestricted internet access..

How the Internet Beat Up an 11-Year-Old Girl

(in fairness though, it's pretty funny. sometimes you gotta love 4chan..)

Lady Gaga is the first living person to reach 10mm followers. I am not one of them. Facebook has it's uses, but "following" "celebrities" is not one of them, IMO.
Though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I dont really get it but studied it a bit and came to the conclusion that it is too 'big brother' with too many knowing too much about you. And Twitter is just sad - plain and simple
