I love it
I like it
It's okay
Kind of depressing to be honest
I'm losing the will to live
Do I like my job? Well, I've my own micro/small business in a very challenging & competitive sector. When it goes well, I like it, and when it hits a slump I don't like it as much as that can lead to a stressful months & worry if we'll make enough sales or not to keep going. The work can be repetitive & boring at time, with a high level of rejection as it's sales orientated.
Why do I keep at it? It does give me flexibility on time, e.g. I can take time out when I went, a few hours, start later, finish earlier (might make more money if I didn't do that, but I value the flex), I can go for an extended trip abroad for 7-9 weeks most years & work remotely from the laptop.
Also, I am now in my 50s, have been self employed for years, so it could be very difficult to get a job in a big company at my age these days. Indeed, when friends tell me of the office politics, egos, bad managers & power plays in their jobs working for big companies, I feel it is best to have my own little gig, I wouldn't be fit for all the office politics BS.
That is why I said in the poll that my job is "ok", it can have good days & frustrating days, but if I can keep ticking over & make a reasonable wage & enjoy the time flexibility, then it is a good thing I suppose.

I think both the demands and expectations from a job change over time.
For some people a job gives them the income/security, social group, status gives them what they want. For others the need for independence and freedom means that being self employed is the best option
If one isn’t happy doing what one is doing, find something that gives you what you want. The only person that can choose what is right for you is you.
