. . . The rain. Our old familiar friend the rain.
I think that the extreme weather conditions so far this month between extreme cold and extreme winds, and that one day in July that we usually get extreme heat Further proves to us that climate change is real!!
I hope that for anyone who reads this that you have stayed safe and out of harms way of the storm whatever part of the country you may be in this evening. I can tell you that there are trampolines, trees, and bits of stone walls currently flying all over the place in the Wesht here.
However this did give me a bit of a giggle this evening, it’s been reported in the news that a fully booked flight from Manchester to Dublin Had to turn back from Dublin to the UK as the winds were too high here.
However on returning to the UK, the pilots were told the same thing there, and so they end up having to land in Paris.
Can you imagine getting on a plane in Manchester, expecting to get off in Dublin, and you somehow find yourself in Charles de Gaulle, I’ll because there was a bit of drying out!!!!
