Israel has no good options.

Doing nothing is hardly an option.
You can "bomb the bastards" with either warplanes or missiles but this is indiscriminate. [Although the Americans and NATO have often done this]
It is impossible to separate the civilians from the terrorists because the terrorists are civilians. And in some cases, not very old civilians.

A ground invasion involves risk. America may literally have Israel's back so they may invade in force without too much worry about an attack from somewhere else but this is "fighting in built up areas" that is known to be very difficult because you cannot effectively use mechanised support like amour. And even if you are successful, at some stage you withdraw and the terrorists regroup. Israel has "destroyed" various terrorist groups multiple times and they simply regroup and come back.

At the moment surely doesn’t : as you say can’t leave it !

But to eradicate Hamas I feel this heavy handed campaign is going to prove useless - at the cost of

immeasurable human suffering .

In my estimation the most effective way to take the teeth out of Hamas would be only by way of

infiltration and continued precise targeted executions of actors / leaders >>>

While making the Palestinian Peoples’ existence humane , and bearable .

So long there’s suffering , there’s fertile soil for ‘freedom fighters’ / terrorists .

You have to change the Soil , for new trees , new ‘mood’ to grow !

Otherwise it will forever continue to be eye for eye , tooth for tooth : except

I don’t think Gaza-ian people have much eyes or teeth left .


The only way to eradicate Hamas is to allow the Palestinian people to Decently exist + many years .

Or alternately :

The Total extermination of the Palestinian people .


Atm I see this going in only the one way .

I agree with Stephanie and others that it is unlikely that Israel knew nothing of these attacks in advance, and that there may have been a plan to use them as a basis for "retaliation". Israel's retaliation tend to be far deadlier than the actions they retaliate against.

I don't think they would have allowed it though if they understood the scale. Perhaps they were not surprised by the action, but hugely underestimated its severity?

As usual, their PR machine is framing the situation in their terms, calling it a war in order to justify what now looks like an inevitable land grab.

Elsewhere in the world, governments find combating terrorism very challenging, because international laws do not allow them to put civilian life at risk. Israel do not play by those rules, and never will so long as other nations accept their methods.

Maybe I am lacking logic here:

Russia allegedly invades Ukraine and conquer their lands. US stands with Ukraine.
Israel invades Palestine and conquer their lands. US stands with Israel.

Where is the logic on that?!

As far as I can figure out, terrorist groups are born to ''fight'' for a right that has been taken away by others, unrightfully. Hope I explain myself well enough.

Russia not “allegedly” , but Factually invaded Ukraine , and for geopolitical reasons the US and NATO stand w Ukraine .

Hamas - an internationally declared terrorist organization that rules over Gaza - over the last weekend attacked Israel ,

killing innocent young people at a concert , attacked villages and barbariously murdered women , children , babies , etc.

Now Israel as retaliation and to Supposedly eradicate Hamas , has attacked Gaza Strip ( home of Hamas ) and is

now preparing to invade Gaza by land .

US politics and economy is heavily influenced by Jewish interests , hence the US cannot Not support Israel ,

however morally wrong it may / or may not be . No choice .

Why the EU came out in full support of Israel , I do not know .


There’s so much so much so much more to it , but this is the simplest explanation of Today .

There’s a lot lot lot of historical element that also comes into play ( in both cases ) , but

this is just short version x

International media were allowed in to see the aftermath of the massacre. Footage of houses smashed, burnt and blood everywhere. Children's bedrooms had blood everywhere even up the walls. House after house. Village after village. Survivor eyewitness accounts. They even got footage off dashcams showing hamass throwing hand grenades into civilian shelters, blowing people to bits. What news do you watch? The images of the dead kids too graphic to show on mainstream news. Lots of footage on Twitter if you want to see it. Are you saying all of the worlds media conspired to lie? Seriously?????
