Avoiding the French Air traffic controller strikes is the first tourist trap to avoid (hope you get there). Only been to Paris myself. If you haven't been before then don't avoid the tourist traps. They are popular for a reason. Just get good deals and book in advance where you can. Always good to use a little French if you can if only to say 'Thank you'.

Thank you as I studied French in secondary school to get by to a certain extent but I heard that French people are a bit racist towards Asians so that’s what worries me lol
