Over the last 3/4 years I’ve been lucky to find a small few great escorts that I now count as great close friends. Recently I’m hearing not just from those friends but also other advertisers that times are getting really tough. Calls from punters, especially decent guys are falling big time, rents are obviously increasing a lot especially for those travelling, EI prices up 25%. Girls agreeing to all sorts to get guys in the door. Seems to be a much tougher business to be in these days. Anyone else hearing similar?

Every business has seen costs rise drastically. Some can easily pass on this in increased prices, but not all.

Some service providers- and this does not just relate to the sex industry - feel they need to reduce rates to keep busy, and therefore need to increase the amount of hours they can charge or, while others take the view of increasing rates and accept they may not be as busy. What will happen is that over a period of time people will leave the industry, as they feel they are not earning enough for their troubles and will find other careers.

I would imagine that similar will happen in this industry, and we will see a reduction in the number of providers over a period of time, resulting in increased rates for those that remain.

This business is no different to any other in that it is is at the mercy of economic variables. In a down turn luxury items tend to fair quite well, sounds counter intuitive but as always the people with high disposable income retain that spending power through tough times and therefore the high end providers should be insulated to a degree.
Different story for the majority of mid level clients/escorts though, it’ll be a balancing act for a while, weighing up things that you need over things that you want, that’s just reality, sadly an unsustainable equation in the cold light of day, the figures just won’t add up.
An escort being buffeted by higher costs on all fronts will naturally react by raising rates, her client pool, suffering under the same conditions will have to make a price/value call, both are going to lose in these conditions.
On a personal level I’ve become far more selective, the impulse meets are gone and I’m far more rigid in sticking to my criteria, unless every box is ticked then I’d rather just wait, it’s def quality over quantity for me, yeah, tough times for all but the oldest profession will weather this storm like it has all the other ones

Yes its getting difficult I hear also, rent gone sky high never mind gettin a place at all. But no slow down in amount of idiots on the phone maybe even worse

Yeah, the bottom feeders and tyre kickers love times like these, the worst elements of society stand out more when times are tough.
Accommodation must be a nightmare in the big cities, hotel meets are getting harder and harder to find, I’d say I’ll be heading down the outcall route shortly, less meets but what’s a guy going to do 🤷

I know girls have to balance demand with cost, like any business and maybe are cautious of pricing themselves out of the compatition if there rates go up.
I've been contacted through WhatsApp by two girls this week that I wouldn't normally keep in contact with and haven't seen either from last October, just to let me know they are touring close by, I would take this as a sign of how hard times are getting for them!? I do feel sorry for any girl struggling but will be limiting my contact to three girls or only one when she's around.
I'm very good to the girls I see but I'm sure there are those who will try to take advantage of the situation with others!!

I know its not easy time for everyone… but I would add if escort feels this tough time, then she shouldnt do some exceptions which she normally doesnt do... dont forget, its a circle... what you allow one time, it will be asked all the time. Its not a solution for long term.

Good points, the bar can be lowered but harder to return to its previous level
