Sunak was the Conservative Party's MPs preferred choice last time but the final choice is left to the Conservative Party extended members in the community.
This time again, if neither Penny Mourdant nor Boris Johnston cannot get the required backing of 100 Conservative MPs, Rishi Sunak will win on Monday. Penny Mourdant is unlikely to get the backing; Boris Johnston just might. If he does it goes to an online vote in the constituencies. Then, he has an outside choice and the result will be known on Friday.

Rishi Sunak is a former Chancellor of the Exchequer, [finance minister, in other words]. Best choice, but that doesn't mean he certain to win.

    Thank you x

My understanding is that BJ already has the 100 , but had a setback having not gained

the backing Suella Braverman ? .. don’t know who that is

Sunak’s politics reasonable ? Would it maybe get them out of the mire they’re in ? X
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.

Yeah. Not much support from the MPs.

Boris, as was expected, has not got enough support and has dropped out. He may have got "100" but had no chance of winning. Penny Mourdant has little chance either.

Rishi Sunak it must be then.

Suella Braverman was the former Home Secretary. Her support would have enticed other MPs to support him and add credibility to his campaign
Rishi Sunak is probably the best bet they have. But will struggle to recover any credibility after the debacle. Hard to see how the Conservatives will not be wiped out at the next election.

Will that be a step forward ? A step in the right direction ?

Who’s up for Labor ? Have they a legit candidate ? Have they a legit mandate

or a clue as to how to get out from under , to get ahead ? X

Labour seems to have sorted out their extreme left wing problems.
Keir Starmer, Labour Leader, I feel should be a good Prime Minister. He is a former Attorney General, not a very inspiring or exciting person but possibly the "safe hands" Britain needs after the chaos.

The best thing they have going for them is that they are not the conservatives, seriously how could they not win an election?, Starmer under normal conditions would struggle, if he were a colour he’d be beige but the UK is in the toilets, people queuing at food banks etc. Still this has all the appearance of changing captains on the Titanic, the ship is sinking regardless
