I presume that the disc you refer to is the yellow disc that also is used if you just need hot water.
This disc can be replaced by a quick visit to Amazon where you will find sites that sell them................... not too dear so buy a couple.
Also you can use a couple of large spoonfuls of citric acid (available in your local chemist shop) mixed in the water instead of Tassimo's own expensive products.
You can use some of the tablets that are used to steep dentures in as a descaling agent.
