RIP Brian...
Of the many people I have encountered on these boards, Brian was one of the few that I could call a true friend. He was a caring, decent human being and a funny, clever pal.
We had been in contact, by e-mail, in recent times and it was clear to me that he was nearing the end.
I suspected that he had passed on when the mails stopped coming.
He would have been delighted that Tiff was the one who passed on the sad news to his fellow members on this board. Tiff had a special place in Brian's life, and in his heart. In our mails, he rarely failed to mention her...something she had said or a funny incident that happened when they were together. He held her in the highest possible esteem - I always teased him that they were like an old married couple. His response was always the same: "I wish!"
I, for one, will remember him fondly and remember him in my prayers - as I have been doing for some time now. He was never one to complain about the pain or discomfort his illness brought, but from the few things he did mention I imagine that it was very difficult for him as the end neared. I am glad that his suffering has ended and that he is now in a better place, a place of peace.
