Cycling I find doesn't burn enough calories.. you'd need to be doing stephen roche mileage to get anywhere when you approach middle age. The cross trainer is an excellent tool for fitness I find plus a little gentle treadmilling... and light resistance training is where you see the big difference

The body was to maintain equilibrium. Developed equilibrium and maintain it. It's not about what you but the varying of intensities of what you. It's also about avoiding repeatedly stressing the same parts while understressing the same parts and yes, before you ask, every joint has different parts which respond in different ways to different stimuli. Intense use is the key while not overstressing the CNS (I did that deliberately) while varying the areas of adaption so no one area is over or under stressed.

Spending time with family. Getting up at the crack of dawn to drive to Portrush which will be fucking packed on Monday but sure its a bank holiday so has to be done.
As long as i get a gravy ring i will be happy.
