Russians are getting bogged down.
They are encountering more resistance than they anticipated and their military planning and execution has not been good.
They are to a certain extent the unwilling warriors because they had hoped to move in and overwhelm the country without causing too many deaths or too much damage.
This is something that Putin cannot allow to fail so dangerous days lie ahead because he is likely to employ more violent tactics and be less worried about collateral damage.
