Strange decision alright, some might even say a very thoughtless decision.

UEFA have now stated that the players wanted to continue the match this evening. Of course UEFA wouldn`t lie about that would they?

BBC coverage has just resumed, restart in 5 minutes.

The UEFA statement says that Eriksson is awake and stable in hospital and that both teams requested to continue with the game.

Hope he has a speedy recovery, definitely didn't look so good earlier on.

Apparently Eriksen has been talking to medical staff in the hospital so it seems that he is out of danger at least for now. Whether he will be able to continue his career as a professional footballer is a different story though.

The delayed HT break has arrived. Considering all the circumstances I reckon the match will finish 0-0 now.

The Finns think different, they take the lead. Bad mistake by the goalie (Schmichel I presume).

Pohjanpalo scores Finland`s 1st ever major tournament goal to put them 1-0 up. Is he going to be the present day Finnish equivalent of Ray Houghton at Euro 88.?

Belgium v Russia in St Petersburg. The Belgians return to the stadium where they beat England in the 2018 World Cup 3rd place playoff. No De Bruyne in the Belgian team and Eden Hazard is on the bench. Despite the Russians being at home I will go for Belgium to win 2-0.

Denmark are awarded a penalty but Hojbjerg`s spot kick is saved. Still 1-0 to the Finns. Is there going to be a shock result in this match?
