I think it should be said that Ketchup is a very positive type of poster , never involved in grief and didn't mean any harm but we do all need to focus on the positive things these days.

That's fair a point, there should be someone who posts a more balanced view for example

in the past two weeks from the 3rd of Sept to the 16th of sept there have been 2816 confirmed cases 59 cases pers 100k people.

75 ended up in hospital and 5 admitted to ICU of course every death is tragedy and not just a number, there was 8 deaths representing .28%.

Each punter has to make a judgement call depending on how vulnerable they and those around them are. News posts on here do not affect my decision to punt or not, but the level of infection does.
Personally, I am driving to Dublin next week but I wont be visiting any of the ladies. I have volunteered to drive a vulnerable person to an appointment and we will not even be stopping for petrol. The car is prepped for the journey already and I have started isolating myself in case I put her at risk.

And in golfing news.
A group of 40 golfers recently stayed in a Tullamore hotel. Half of this group have since tested positive. They played on 2 different golf courses and visited a number of pubs and restaurants in the area.
At a time when numbers at funerals and weddings are restricted, I think that its disgusting that these organised golf events are going ahead. Golf itself should be allowed, but cut the parties please.

Exactly what I mean. I like Ketchup. Absolutely nothing agains him. But how about some positive side? There is much more people who recover. In these uncertain times, strange ones, hard for all of us we need some positivity as well. Statistic we see everywhere. This should be happy fun joyful place. And scaremongering is wrong.

I wouldn't have accused Ketchup of scaremongering in fairness Michelle.

He was just posting the up to date official figures on this thread you started which deals with lockdown.

It's not like he's doing this on other threads. On the sports pages Ketchup does keep us up to date with latest scores in football matches etc and is greatly appreciated.

I think yourself and a couple of the other ladies were quite harsh with him to be honest.

There ARE plenty of other posters that are scaremongering and only post doom and gloom but Ketchup certainly isn't 1 of them.

100% correct, Ketchup is a good guy , but I can understand, everyone’s opinions and fears , we are all at breaking point, and no end or breakthrough in sight , Ketchup is not scaremongering, just giving facts , unfortunately the facts are frightening
