In light of recent developments ( 150b loss ) , I’d hardly characterize my original notion as

    “Conspiracy theory” lol

A lot of businesses don’t want to deal with China moving forward
Along with the pandemic bringing lots of shipping difficulties.”

My thread from January 28th of Last Year was : “Economy ; Tourism ; getting scary - Covid” ...

I see the garda are starting to put up their mobile checkpoints around the border roads already as they are being given legal authority to turn back and fine northern vehicles and fine people at ports, airports when arriving back into the country.
    Civility costs you nothing.

I had to undertake a 300km round trip this morning from the South East to the midlands, not one Garda checkpoint along the way. Trip was for legitimate reasons and would not have caused any issue if stopped

They must have redeployed them all to the border.......I believe its because you are charged to dispose of your waste in the republic so they think its a better idea to drive up into the forest and dump it there or simple drive across the border and fuck it out the window.I was cautioned last year on two occasions.Once for collecting someones rubbish that stupidity left their address among it and dumping it back in their garden in a nice big fancy house in blackrock. The second was because i caught someone dumping on my land and when i confronted the fella his mate jumped out of the car and squared up and the usual what are you gonna do about it phrase came outta his mouth.I just smiled and whistled and his was surrounded by three dags, dfor the Rhodesia ridgeback introduced himself and he shit himself. They both ended up getting fined and i got a warning again.

I got stopped at a checkpoint on the way into the office today going into the city center. You'd have to be some ejit to pickup a fine at one of these stops, they will take any excuse you give them and send you on your way.

I had me dog in the back seat who was barking at the bangharda and she goes to me with suspicion, "bringing the dog into the office too?". I told her that he was my manager so yes he will need to come into the office too. She laughed and let me on my way, no further questions, happy days.
