They are the 2016 Olympic silver medallists so would be expected to beat the Aussies today but who knows anything can happen.

RTE are also broadcasting the new multi sport European Championships in athletics, swimming, rowing, cycling, golf and other sports for the next week or so as well so a busy time for sports fans.

So Ireland v Holland it will be in the final tomorrow. The Dutch will start as clear favourites, but no matter what happens the Girls in Green have far exceeded anything that was expected of them before the tournament started.

What time is the final on ? I have to watch Donegal and Tyrone and if the Galway Clare game goes to extra time again who knows what time that will be !!

It on 4.30 I see Ireland are 10/1 and Holland are 1/8 on.

Well done to our ladies! The Dutch Ladies Hockey Team are essentially The Brazillians of that sport and it's nearly impossible to beat them!
