From another relative newbie:
Use the forum search feature for specific questions before posting on here. It works fairly well.
Use the filter to search escorts and ALWAYS click "Allow Reviews" first then go into favorites/appearance,etc.
Start by seeing escorts with 50+ positive reviews and > 90% "Would Recommend" and "Would Repeat" scores - can't go wrong with them unless you're really an ass.

50 reviews is high, but there are still plenty of gals with that many. Look at the gals I met on my trip. https://www.escort-ireland.com/user/scoobydo1.html 11 of 14 had 50 plus reviews, most had over 100. I wanted to start with positive experiences and ladies who I could count on and that's my advice to any newbie. I'll be more adventurous next trip now that I have atleast some understanding of the Irish punting scene. Get some good punts in then expand the options and remove some of the restrictions.

Decent advice, 50 reviews is way ott though, at 10 reviews look for a 90% rating, at 5 reviews look for 80%, as newbie don't try anyone under 5 reviews unless you see they are in the same location for over a month and they don't offer anal, hardsports, cim.

Interesting Mij - you have 6 reviews - 5 of the 6 meet my suggested criteria of ladies with over 50 reviews. Your first punt had over 200 reviews when you saw her and your second over 100 reviews when you saw her. But your telling him 10 or even 5 is plenty? You've only done that once yourself and in your review you correctly say it was risky. Why should a new guy take the chance when there are so many sure things out there?

Guys, lots of ladies have 50+ reviews - I stand by my recommendation: start out with experienced gals you can't go wrong. After your first few punts go for whatever you feel comfortable with which is exactly what you did Mij. It's a winning formula. (I need a Charlie Sheen Winning gif here but I'm too lazy to look for one.)
