It's going to be big boots for him to fill after Cody winning a Leinster and 2 points short in the All-Ireland.

Getting into the top 3 in Leinster could be a challenge next year with Galway, wexford and Dublin chomping at the bit for trophies.

Michael Murphy announces his retirement from intercounty football. Big loss to donegal , what a player he was.

He was so wasted by Donegal last number of years… he could have been the best full forward ever if he had been deployed at full forward!! Declan Bonner was supposed to bring a new style to Donegal football but I think he was in way over his head and unfortunately for Donegal supporters Micheal Murphy has now retired before a new manager can take over!!! Definitely a great player!!
