Thought I might be wrong in this. Like the way "general society" looks at our community as being filled by ALL predators and ALL victims, is it not the same way our community looks at street prostitution?
Think it's something to be careful of. Not to encourage street prostitution but to leave it that we support those girls within it who are capable of exercising good judgement and who act of their own free will.
Good judgement... not an addict, acts safe, is discreet. That sort of thing. A blanket phrase, hoping you get the gist.
Working from the street does clash with the notion of discretion but what is the alternative?
Thinking of the positives that could come with working on the street: (might clutch a few straws here, writing as I go)
Not having to handle a phone call/make arrangements (comfort)
Not having to lie (comfort)
No overheads (safety, comfort, economic viability)
No pressure that the client will not be happy with what he sees (comfort)
Faster negotiations (comfort)
Safety within the community if you have a spotter (safety)
Ability to work to a true list of favourites/within a true comfort zone (comfort)
Ability to gauge clients before entering their space (safety)
No real damage caused by time wasters or no shows (safety, economic viability)
No fear of eviction/expulsion (comfort)
No pressure to move around (comfort)
Ability to just walk away (safety, comfort, economic viability)
To be continued...
