I remember a fairly eye opening experience in the RLD a few years back. Myself and a mate were walking back to our hotel late at night and and noticed a bit of a drama happening up ahead. Excepting someone's attitude who seems to try it hard to change this into a fight, calling me out for saying I have no respect when all I do was cite public information it's seems the opinions are indeed divided, which is interesting.

We are all different and as expected we have different needs. Some guys are a lot more into the thrill of being able to chose directly what they like, some guys like a more relaxed and personal approach etc.

The Red Light Districts, no denying, holds a great degree of fascination over any country that has none and Ireland is no exception. Heck, I would go visit the place myself, just to see what is all about (if you donate for the trip ).

This declaration is supported by the idea that escorting (the non-window like) is very popular in Amsterdam too and of course more expensive. If the red light district was widely covering all type of needs that a client may have, including total anonymity, escorting would have been a dead business, which is not the case.

What I like in countries like Netherlands, it's the way the choice is given to clients. You got a 50 in your pocket and lots of enthousiasm? Plenty of choices. You want full girlfriend experience and spending hours in a woman's company (including non sexual bits), plenty of choices. Those choices are easy to identify. Unlike Ireland, where if it wasn't for a review system (as flawed as it may be), the chance of finding a successful encounter for people with more diversified needs would be totally left to chance.

I still stand to what I said in my opening post here tho "appreciate what you have". They sometimes need to build up an additional strong online persona, just to ensure they are memorable and have their unique selling point.

thats my point, that is a shite article on the R L D, yes competition here is much less, no client visits Ireland solely because of the sex available , none and they come from all over the world to visit Amsterdam and at least in the R L D clients can see what they are going to get before they part with the cash so to hell with the fake profiles

For the people criticizing the article, that's just silly, it is, if we are to believe it, a personal account, no more no less.

I will say it tallies with my experience of the rld, was only there once many years back but I haven't been back since and that's because I had a similar experience of it as the writer did.

Each to their own, but I have to say, I found it too mechanical, no personal touch, all about the conveyer belt system. Maybe that suits guys looking for that. But not me.

I will say that during the same weekend I was at a brothel in the city, and that was a much better experience, and met a wonderful lady there. In many ways the organised brothel I thought better even than the Irish escorting scene, it was a relaxed bar environment, and no pressure to do anything. At the risk of turning this into a "mad shit we've seen in the RLD" post I remember another good one. I'm sure plenty here know the Irish bar at that curved street behind that big church on the canal.
