Nooo,i would be afraid plate would fly out.
It works good for everything but not these 2 times.
I had full apartment with black smoke
It was just thick glass plate off microwave itself i placed them both onto.

How do i get rid of small in microwave?
I brushed and polished,it s shiney and smelly
