I think January was rough on everyone. But still what would life be without a bit of drama?(I'm on painkillers don't take that phrase into consideration 😂😂😂hopefully February will bring better weather but looks like Storm Henry is on its way...
Marriage proposals. I don't think I need a leap year if I want to propose to a guy I like...
And as Sophie said Valentine's Day is coming soon, but the best day is after Valentine's Day! Half price chocolate at Tesco's!!!

I believe u r correct.
Traditionally St Bridget's day is the first day of spring but in meteorological terms it is March 1st.
Today is Candlemas day or groundhog day . I remember as a child the saying "Candlemas day bright & clear means two winter's in one year".
Then there's something about the groundhog seeing his shadow.

I never heard that Spring began on the 1st. of February - well, I have never seen it published anywhere! Astronomically in the Northern Hemisphere spring begins with the equinox on the 20th. of March. It is also known as the Vernal equinox.
However from a Meteorological point in the Northern Hemisphere the official spring season begins on March 1st.
It is the difference between these dates that causes confusion - but either way we have a month to go before we see Spring
