Much as we like to gripe, the police have a tough job and, generally speaking, have a lot on their plates without having to worry about middle aged men spending an hour here and their in the company of a favoured lady or gent. If it's waved under their noses they'll be forced to act, so, yes, as you say (as did Gandalf ...), keep it secret and keep it safe

This trade is not consistent all year round. There are several quiet months and several busy months. You have to take the rough with the smooth, but regardless of earnings you still have to pay for the accommodation, the advertising, the condoms, the costumes, the travel etc, etc.

This is not a job where there are no outgoings, this is not a situation where all the workers have no homes, families or responsibilities and some of us do pay tax and have mortgages and have hp etc, etc. Why assume we are all invisible people with no financial blue print?
I did say if you look that we all have to pay for these expenses.
Escorts can still pay these costs and still have a very very good profit. Its a very profitable business as you know kate and if your not making very good money, theres something seriously wrong somewhere. I'm an accountant, maybe I could look at yourbooks for you Free of course

Thats what i'm hearing from the boys in blue, you are very naive if you think too that the PSNI will not change their attitude, once the bill is law in the republic both sides will be working together.
You mention discrete but you might be discreet but what about the others, you don't know Ireland very well, people are so nosy and cant mind their own business.
Sadly, I can really see good established escorts like you Struggling to make it work properly when the Bill is passed in Ireland, it will be policed much stricter than It was in NI (which wouldn't be difficult)

You're good thanks. I've been doing my own books well before I became a Sex Worker. I've got that sorted. Although I might like to remind you that, I was talking about sex workers generally and not just myself. Not sure why you didn't get that?

I did and sex workers are making very good money here in Ireland, thats why they come here, there very few jobs were you would make that sort of money tax free as well for most.
As i said we all have those expenses to pay

There are ways as individual can safe guard themselves and protect themselves. I won't be struggling, although I'm not going to be explaining why I believe that on here. They won't be looking for people like me anyway, as they would get bored waiting to catch someone come in lol. How on earth would they detect someone who doesn't have a phone to their ear and knows where they are going?

It's the ones with the high footfall sharing that will have to be careful, the ones working in well known areas, the kind of place where you might get a knock at the door that isn't expecting due to someone chancing their arm. This is where the discretion comes in.

I believe all will struggle, you are forgetting one very important point here, When Bill is law it will then illegal to pay for sex unlike it is now.
Okay so an advertising escort that is touring and staying in hotels or apartments and her clients will be a target much more than ever before, there will be an onus on landlords and hotel staff others to be more vigilant as they will be calls from the general public, other disgruntled escorts, clients, pimps etc, they will tip off police.
You see it changes everything once its law and now illegal and most people will not tolerable this illegal carry-on and will make it their business to help the authorities.
Unfortunately thats the way it will be so how can you protect yourself and more importantly your clients from this, you can't in the long run i'm afraid

My local shop doesn't give receipts. Does that mean they are not paying tax? Tsk! What would you put the expense under Zander?
