So for the 2nd week in a row Westwood and DeChambeau will be going head to head in the final round of the Players Championship tomorrow. DeChambeu will probably be the favourite to win again but Westwood will have a point to prove after last weekend. If there is to be a winner other than those 2 golfers then Justin Thomas, Paul Casey, Matt Fitpatrick, Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia are all still within a few shots of Westwood. Shane Lowry had a good round today and will be trying for a top 15 finish in the tournament.

Really good to see him back to this level, he needs to kick on from here leading into the masters!

Westwood 2 clear heading into the back 9, can he hang on?

An eagle for JT takes him into the lead on -13. Could that be a defining moment of the round for him?

JT 2 clear, you would have to fancy him from here unless something goes wrong on the 17th tee

JT wins his 1st Players Championship and for the 2nd week in a row Westwood finishes runner up by a single shot to an American Major champion. Close but not close enough for him. However on current form he must surely be assured of a place on the European Ryder Cup team assuming the competition goes ahead this year. A good tournament for another English veteran Paul Casey who finishes in joint 5th place. An encouraging showing also for Shane Lowry who finishes in 8th place and but for a poor 2nd round would have been challenging for a higher placing. A disappointing tournament though for a number of high profile players especially McIlroy and Dustin Johnson which is not good news for them with the Masters less than a month away.
