Instead of discounting the programme maybe actually watch it. Such dismissal of quite probable facts just makes the client community look like ostriches. We do have issues with exploitation in this industry, better we all try to accept that and work to eradicate the profit than play trade the insult.

Totally agree. I found it uncomfortable viewing. I have never visited for less than an hour or for less than e160, but even so, I am pretty sure I visited one or two who were aome way from being independent. There is clearly a spectrum of situations on this site, with true independents at one end, and it is likely that some at the other end are very limited in their options.

This programme was very bad for the image of the industry, and the site, because the independent scene was completely ignored.

I think it was a reasonably balanced programme. But I would see it as a programme on organised crime rather than on the sex industry as a whole. Yet again the independent escorts are left without a say in the matter. It was affecting too. I think Alexandra is a very brave young woman and while I hope her experience is exceptional I fear there are many more like her. I remember the case in the papers and I'm glad the programme mentioned it was a client who let her use his mobile that allowed her to alert the hotel reception. And this is what concerns me too. I get the sense that the authorities are unable to deal with the criminals so have opted instead to target the clients as a last resort. But even this policy needs resources. I am certain that the greater part of the industry is rotten and that something needs to be done, but I still think they're going the wrong way about it.
I don't want to put money in these guys pockets.
