As horrible as it is to say, I was predicting something like this would happen, I just didn't think it would be so soon...

It's situations like this that will have even the most open and welcoming of people-- those who sought to welcome migrants/refugees with open arms-- into the next generation of xenophobic racists...

An unnecessary tragedy...

You and I were talking about this , comparing notes on our respective countries where we happened to be .

You're on the ground in the thick of it , and I'd seen some of it .
