I say give the power to the regular posters.

It would be very easy for someone in the dev team to implement a script for new members accounts such that if they are reported a certain amount of times they are automatically banned, post deleted, etc. Saves having to wait for a mod to come clean up.

There would no doubt be some messing where posters would intentionally get someone banned for the "craic"
However if they were banned themselves for doing so it might work

Only for new members. Otherwise it would be like one big Mexican stand-off in here.
