Why are lapdancing clubs allowed?

This just struck me as quite unbelievable.

You have these establishments that offer private dances, there are burly men everywhere, whose to say those girls working there are being treated fairly? Do we even know of the lap/pole dancers aren't coerced through maybe their families being threatened or their passports held by some of these people? Surely to fucking jesus an independent woman working from a discrete apartment for herself is better for the city than some grotesque lap dancing club in tourist family friendly areas?

Does anyone know why these clubs are allowed?

Because society finds it acceptable to tease a man, semi naked/naked for money & send him home unfulfilled.

But a man paying to fulfill his sexual desires is unacceptable
