They can be very disciplined, obedient, and if you receive a complete training, are the best family dogs.

A question to fellow dog lovers: what breed of dog is your favourite?

In my family, we have always had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier:

Sadly these beautiful dogs have a bad reputation for mauling people and being fighting dogs, and these days a lot of chavs seem to have them too. Every Staffie we have ever had has been such a playful, friendly, loving beast, and the behaviour of the dog usually reflects that of the people that look after them.

When I am able to have a dog, I think I shall adopt an Alaskan Malamute:

    Such a beautiful animal
Berner Sennenhund (Bernese Mountain Dog); Irish Wolfhound

Collie X Labrador , a brave coward always barks at strangers coming to the door but bites no one, Cairn Terriers are also lovely

they werent installing water meters by any chance? Heres a newsflash for you. Any dog would turn on someone. Another newsflash for you. More people turn on people than dogs turn on people. Oh I forgot. More people in the world. This dangerous dog rubbish is getting old. If the staff jumped down into a man hole than he was either off the lead or too near strange people. Thats not the dogs fault.

english bull terrier and boxers. Have an english bull right now but cant have other dogs as he is enough to manage on his own. Had boxer in the past as well. Malamutes are nice but need watching as well although not as much as bulls.
