It seems that the Irish Government is only 20 years behind in their thinking, as opposed to the 30 years that I initially thought

    It should pass
What right has anybody got to tell somebody who they can and cannot fall in
    love with.
If 2 people want to spend the rest of their lives together in a
committed relationship, why should we stop them.
It's not been made compulsory just giving everybody the same rights.
On a lighter note James and Clyde will be thrilled if it passes.
Renatha will be best man and they will be spoiled for choice for bridesmaids.
I am who I am and I am happy with who I am.

I hope you didn't misinterprate my post...I of course think people should be with who they want to be. My concern was that the Dial may have a lot of people who disagree

No Martin I knew what you meant.
I agree that a lot of the politicians will not agree
They should however do what they are paid to do ie represent
the views of the electorate v
The majority of people would be in favour of gay marriage v
If it was a referendum it would pass easily.
Maybe the politicians don't trust us with such an important decision.
There again looking at the shower of wasters we elected maybe they are right.
I am who I am and I am happy with who I am.
