You ,young lady would not be parading around in those short skirts looking like butter wouldnt melt if she was your grandmother. You would be sporting an ankle length flowery dress..with a big set of balls underneath..and you would be found in the TS section of the advertisements.

The problem is Sophie if you grew up like I did and anyone around my age or before me during the late 70’s and early 80’s you couldn’t escape politics, you grew up with it, it was a part of life, so you’re lucky I suppose you didn’t grew up in that backdrop.

I only wish she’d died in 1979 as she’d have spared a lot of people unimaginable torture and anguish, so no I have no feelings other than hatred and loathing for the woman.
well said john there was no compasion shown by her to anybody

A lot of things could have happened. People fought and died for this peace, it seems some cannot forget. There were serious atrocities on both sides, remember Corporal Clegg? There comes a time you have to let go and move on for your children. That war didn't leave England unscathed. No one won.

She also dismantled the old boys network, created free competition for all utilities, enabled the working classes to win homes through the right to buy project and stood her ground when there was little choice. She fought the unions, which some people forget were not always the best leaders. She enabled a culture of growth when prior to that you were chattels in a segmented market.

Margaret Thatcher didn't die today, she died the day she succumbed to Parkinson's.
Rather than dismantle the old boys network, she cemented it in place, it is still there today, just richer for having been handed the keys to utilities which they raped.Yes the unions got out of hand and needed to be brought under control, but not at the expense of the coal industry, we still use coal, it just comes from Poland now. The working classes could by their council houses, but now there is an extreme shortage of social housing for those in need because she didn´t enable more housing to be built. Her embrace of carefree capatilisim helped lead to the rising cost of property creating an artifical bubble waiting to pop.She is no more entitled to a state funeral than Diana was, but hey I won´t be going or watching so they can do what they want with her. Roast her on a spit if they want.
