In my town there was a pair of phone boxes side by side and often there'd be a queue outside one and the other empty . The one with the queue had the coin box malfunctioning . Every penny counted them days and feck the P &T

....not to mention the whole phone card fad.....gonna replace money it was....way of the future it was

Ah ya.....who would have ever thought of mobile phones (though back in the day they were the size of a brick, signal strong enough to call in an airstrike, battery lasted for fucking ages & everyone started geting obsessed with that SNAKE game)

Bye bye phonecards (still have some of them in a box in attic praying to Jaysus their collectable value will sky rocket in a few years)
