I've known my best mate for 24 years!
We were in the same class, and hit it off the first week we met.
I was his best man at his wedding. Unfortunately I've never been able to ask him to return the favour.
He lives abroad now with his wife and kids, so we only get to meet once or twice a year when he returns to visit family. But we can always pick up exactly where we left off, just the same as when we were class mates.
He is also someone that I really respect and admire for being incredibly principled and strong for his family. We have a friendship that I will always cherish.
I agree with Stephanie - you can't beat a good frienship. It's one of the most valuable things in life.

Ive known my best mate for near on 20 years and i hav to say he has been there through thick and thin and id lik to think i hav been there for him too
i had the pleasure of bein best man at his wedding and him at mine and he was the one person that keept me together after the divorce
he also asked me to be godfather to his kids and the best part i get to see them everyday
he truely is a great friend id be lost without him and his family

I have to say as life goes on you will always have your old fronds but as your own life evolves you change circles and of late I've can say some of you newish friends are outstanding people willing to help out at the drop of a hat.
