Count yourself lucky ray that you could fork out that much cash
I know families who are buying oil at 40 and 50euro a time from the depots
There is a garage near me selling kerosene by the litre !

Sickening how much we pay compared to the North, picked a Newry postcode which is less than an hours drive from me and here's my quote..

    Pence per litre: 57.33
    VAT @ 5.00%: £28.67
    Total incl VAT: £601.97

That's only €745 at todays exchange rates

I don't have the option, they don't deliver across the border. Fair enough I know people that stick a 1000ltr tank in the back of a van and drive across the border but they are few and far between..

If you need oil for mostly heating, hot water etc, I'd seriously consider investing in a fire with a back boiler, it'll heat up your whole gaff and the rads will be scalding! and you'll have your hot water. It's easy for me to sit here at a laptop and say it but it is something you can do a little research on.
