Today would have been the 66th birthday of one of the most fantastic show-men of all time.
Happy Birthday to Freddie Mercury, and rest in peace. His music will live on for many generations.

He certainly was a genius. RIP Freddie.x

The sad thing about Queen was that they were actually getting better when he died. Bohemian Rhapsody is probably the most over rated song of all time, and all the Flash Gordon stuff was pretty poor as well.
By 1986 you had the amazing 'Magic' tour and the Innuendo album was something else. This was a time when the work was genius
RIP Freddie, taken far too soon

Ah Freddie, what a performer ... spent a blissful hour in '96 sitting on the palace steps in Barcelona watching the fountain change colours to the beautiful strains of Freddie and Monserat Cabalia (I know the spelling is all wrong, but you know who I mean) singing 'Barcelona' ... great memory. What a voice, what a personality!
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own.
No apologies or excuses.
No one to lean on, rely on, or blame.
The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it.
This is the day your life really begins! (Bob Moawad)

R.I.P. Freddie!!
He was in my view - one of the all time peformers! What a legend.
This is one of my favourite Queen numbers - "The show must go on". All the more poignant considering Freddie literally had to make sure the show would go on while he knew he was dying from AIDS!!
While there is still no cure for HIV infection/AIDS today, there are much more effective treatments resulting in a significantly prolonged survival in HIV infected individuals. Freddie might still be alive today if the treatments available today were available at the time he was diagnosed.
