Animated gif's are nearly the easiest thing you can do in Photoshop. Very easy to get the hang of when you have a basic grasp of layers and layer orders.

Until a recent burglary where my laptop was stolen I had photoshop 7 that does not hold this facility. I now have an upgraded version, so while bored over the next few days, I shall use the time to venture round it and work out where everything is. I'm looking forward to it, as I love learning new things.

If you consider the professional photoshoot, how dificult would it be to take 5 minutes with a camcorder or even an iPhone FFS and record a few sexy moments.

Seems so simple but rarely done.

Many of the cameras (dslr's) which would be used on a photoshoot also capture HD video. But only some of the ladies here use good photographers (be they amateur of professional)

Mention video and video editing to most Photographers and you'll see the € signs clock up in their eyes. The iPhone idea is solid though.

I've got some video clips a client took in his booking and this is another thing I need to spend time learning to do. I can't do that this weekend though, as I'll be with family lol.

It's a nice idea but a lot of the ladies post very substandard pics (quality wise) in their profiles.
Many seem think that holiday snaps of them on the beach will do. I don't get it, this is their shop window and they post seriously poor images of themselves. As was stated in another post today it costs a lady about €1,000 per week to do business here in Ireland and they scrimp on one of the most valuable options to gain business, good photos.

I think you have made this point before. Surely it's horses for courses? Some men prefer to see what they are going to get, as in 'the real thing' and get an essense of the ladies personality. While others want to see them in their best light with perfect skin and immaculate grooming. I do wonder though, which client is best please when they open the door?

Im with ya bud... But a photoshoot can cost as little as 100 quid, but there are those that can cost 5 times that too and sometimes more. At that price I would like to ask that he/she hold a camcorder for 5 mins. It should be easier than photos as no photoshop work. Just do a few takes, pick the best one and add some soppy music...

Or am I oversimplifying?

It's the editing bit that'll cost. Maybe I'm worng, but I know a few Photographers and they say that video and editing is where they make their money. Like you said. The iPhone or any smartphone worth its salt can do HD video. I think the iPhone even has video editing software on it so you can add the saxaphone/seedy 70's porn music directly to the video.

It's having the software and know how to do it. I've just upgraded my photoshop package (ohh urgh Mrs!) and hope to be learning how to do more with it, so you never know.
