I agreewith both niram and EnglishAlex. This isn't a Facebook site and, while its their own personal choice at the end of the day, sharing such personal info such as your movements and photo's publicly in my opinion isn't a good idea.

And I think the old adage....if you don't like it don't look at it.. is a bit lame. That's akin to the elephant in the room senario. Of course your gonna see it and read it. Agree with nitram, Alex and Joe. Please nobody insult me by suggesting that if I don't like it then move on because that is lame, to put it mildly.

The reason it makes me uncomfortable as the guys have said is because of the danger element. No it's not offensive as someone else said, it's just unnecessary courting the danger element. These boards can be read by the whole world, rich and poor, young and old, sane an insane. Why would you put yourself further into the line of danger when you don't need to ? This job is risky as it is.

It seems to me there are two issues here, one the posting of personal stuff, i.e. I love sunny days because they remind me of my dog etc etc, and two the possibility of being "outed" by something you post either escort or client. I have no issue with personal stuff appearing, even if the seeming relationship makes me jealous as hell, but it is at the end of the day nothing but online flirting. OK some guys may be showing off that they know a bit more about a lady or have a special connection, so what. The second issue however is common sense. We are all participating in an anonymous forum where anonymity is the key. Do not post anything that would give you away, in other words if you are the star of avatar don't mention it in public as we will all spend our days looking for the guy with the blue face, inane grin and gorgeous lady on his arm.

I guess what I am saying is no harm a bit of personal posting, but be aware of your security, ladies be very careful what you post as there are some, probably not even registered here who will take your info and compromise your security and none of us want to see that.

...... I'm the quiet observer type but feel compelled to say or ask the following.

In relatively recent times I've watched more than one of our fair ladies follow a trend of opening up their whole lives on this site. By that I mean posting a blow by blow account of their daily life's experiences, uploading pictures of themselves in off duty scenarios and generally almost using the E-I forums as their own personal diary.

It stirs something uncomfortable up inside me. I'm sorry for being blunt but to me, this site is a means by which men can connect with women who are both willing to enter into a transaction and then walk away. What I appear to be witnessing though is a step or two beyond that whereby things almost go beyond a transaction towards an opening up of personal relationships that have apparently come about between some boys and the girls on this site. Please - don't ask me to give examples at this point because if I had the time I could give tens of them and I think any regular poster on here knows what I'm talking about.

So what's happening ? Where are we going ? Are we to take it that this site has become pretty much a public text message service between people who have struck up some sort of "relationship" with each other and they're proud of it ? People talking in code with a wink and a nudge to each other and a mildly veiled implication that in the background there is more than meets the eye going on between people ?

I've been reading these boards since they were invented. And I've only got one thing to say about more recent developments:
