Default Is this a real tradition in EE countries?

Dyngus Day or Wet Monday is supposedly a day (Easter Monday) when the practice of throwing water over girls/women to soak them is commonly carried out in Eastern European countries. It is linked to pagan rituals which were adapted for Christian times it seems.

There is an undercurrent of sexual high-jinks in the tradition as it was usually a boy who soaked the girl he fancied with water.

Here is a link to some explanation and photos of the day in Ukraine.

Any EE escorts want to confirm this, or is it a fiction?
