he's gonna do some time. he could have concocted the story about
the abuse, but sadly it is possible it could have happened.

you aren't permitted to kill someone because they assaulted you.

Very true I haven't read the case evidence in the papers yet but it doesn't look good also there were 2 witness who say the man lured them to watch gay porn in his house .... Now as you say it could be made up but of not .... Hmmm I know a lot of fucking wanker religious types that assaulted me when I was a kid I would have no hesitation in kicking the living shit out of them if I see them but not kill .....

It's one of those things. You sit back in the cold light of day and realise we can't have a vigilante state, so yes, he should do time.

But personally, if anyone hurt any of my pets I would smash them to bits. End of

He obviously lacked the intent for murder, but accepted that he had assaulted the deceased. There were a lot of mitigating circumstances in the case which will affect sentencing, but as a fact of law McGovern is guilty of manslaughter (regardless of diminished responsibility or provocation). It's no different than being drunk and assaulting someone on a night out who subsequently dies of their injuries.

I think every one has made good points. And me personally i think rapist should be carstrated and that aint going to happen because of human rights. But with me i would want to see justice and him get beaten up every day in his cell. But if he didn't get justice i would have to take the law into my own hands which isn't good but if some one has violated me in such away then i'm going to violate them and take the consequences on going to prison.
