    Default No Dogs or Irish?

Is history about to repeat itself? It seems that some of the Irish are beginning to get a bad rep in Australlia.
The backpackers in particular are coming in for alot of criticism with some Hostels now refusing to accomodate
them because of Anti-Social behaviour. One of these hostels is even actually run by a guy from Dublin and he
says he has had enough, the problems ranged from drunkness, vandalism to disturbing other guests.
The Australian Farmers are also no too keen now to hire the Irish backpackers as they find them more trouble
than they are worth, fruit picking etc would traditionally be a big income stream for backpackers.
The police in the major cities have also reported a much increased incidence of Irish involved in public order
offences particularly at weekends . We also had the recent incidents at the rugby in New Zealand where the
drunken Irish caused alot of hassle and were not left into some games.
Is our love of binge drinking going to come bite us on the ass? We have a reputation as the drinking partying
Irish but if we continue getting bad press it will tarnish our image and we may find its not so easy to get it back.
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed
    but
