    Ok Caesar
Everyone takes different roads with this, for me I just went cold turkey, I find that's to only way I can deal with something ie hit it head on,
I know others who done the patches, electric fags, etc, for me I would suggest you give them up the way that worked for you, no matter what way you give them up, get ready to keep yourself busy, this will help you out big time , busy, busy, busy, give yourself no time to think about them,
Best of luck, remember one day at a time, then they become weeks and they become months

6 years after I quit and I'm happy to say I've never missed them one little bit. I used to go through 20 a day too. I had quit once before for a year or two but I started smoking other products and that, inevitably, let back to the daemon B&H.

God luck to everyone who's off 'em and anyone who's planning on doing it.

Remember if you're a smoker, no matter what anyone tells you... you smell.

(If you enjoy smokin' then good on you. I'm not judging.)

I quit smoking 3 years ago.I was a heavy smoker and I used to say that I will never give it up because I loved it. I started to have chest pains at some stage so I tried to stop but it didn't work. So I thought I should at least change the cigarettes with some that have a lower quantity of nicotine, not very low just a slight difference. After a while I changed them again and again until I ended up smoking 0.1 mg nicotine cigarettes. Then I tried quit again and this time it worked. Never smoked since and I don't think I'll ever smoke again.

In my opinion, patches and shit are a waste of money. At the risk of sounding (even more like) a tosser, you must impose your will and intellect on your body. Get a squeezeball. Cravings pass. They pass.
im off them since new years, dont think i couldve done it without patches. although i still smoke when im havin a few beers

I'm off them 8 weeks on Monday. I'm working abroad for a while and looking forward to meeting up with some nice escort next week with no smell of smoke from me

I quit years ago, and i found that gum was the most effective help around. not only it helps keeping your fingers busy when the craving comes, but also the chewing helps getting rid of the frustration.
And you can regulate your intake according to your frame of mind at the time.
Even after I stopped feeling the need, I kept few tablets in strategic locations (just in case)
It worked for me like a charm, and i never looked back.

Love the idea of the thread. Well done to all!!

I'm actually considering starting smoking. I've never smoked so am thinking of starting on 20 a day. Have it narrowed down to either John Player Blues or Major, leaning more towards JPB. So here goes, planning on starting Monday. Wish me luck and thanks to the great thread for all the positive ideas.

Vary your routine at first. Avoid situations where you would normally reach for a smoke. For me it was my daily driving route. We really do reach for cigarettes routinely.
I've been off the fags for just over a year. I think if you can manage 2 weeks you have cracked it. Good luck.
