Forgive my ignorance but surely a discussion forum is exactly that, mods have powers to delete posts and threads but to blankly say we will not be discussing it further sounds to me like a step too far, surely we can discuss things, and if that discussion breaches rules then let the punishment fit the crime!!!. Not that I have much more to say on the matter.

No, that point was precisely in keeping with this thread's discussion, namely Primetime highlighting the means by which the women shown can advertise. I would have thought a poster who exposed hundreds upon hundreds of such dodgy profiles would be a valuable resource to this website. Apparently not. It would also be a great way to try and gather public favour to gain immunity. Unfortuantely, he did break the rules so he is gone, like any other user.

Sam I am not looking for a debate on the issue, but what rule did he break exactly, from my admittedly blinkered position, he questioned whether his pms were being monitored, you said not possible and then banned him for putting certain information into his pms......As already stated, I am at a loss to see how you know whats in those pms if you can't monitor them. That is the only point I was making. Patricia has asked for credible debate and I want that, this industry and a lot of people I care about are under severe threat today, debate credible or otherwise is not possible in an atmosphere of banning and keep quiet. I think its time to lighten up a bit and let the debate flow, as long as it is not damaging to business, insulting or illegal. My tuppence worth.

If the law does go into effect clinets are going to be afraid to visit escorts and biz will completly die for 6 months to a year then it will gradually pick up just like it did in norway and sweden... who knows how it will all pan out... i might just be very busy as I am a known indie who works from a PRIVATE property that is not shared with other ladies.. My clients will not be targeted ... but it is surely going to run off all the cheap 'massage ' places that have sprung up all around me... And I am all for that

If you all feel so strongly about it then do something. Stop blaming EI the Ladies , we are the clients the people that have them here if you don't want them to go then stop hiding here and get out on the streets.
I for one am accepting the inevitable like most reasonable people and I am fortunate enough that if the rates go up I can afford and it will make things a lot safer.
No point moaning about it what goes around always comes around.
If I want too see a Lady like Liberty and she moves north to work then I will travel what's the big deal you didn't honestly think nothing was going to be done.
EI will survive , the girls will survive , and the clients will adjust.

I thought that was a call to arms, I have my paint and placard ready, however you seem to be suggestiong we just pipe down, accept criminalization and adjust. Not the way I do things normally, but hey thats just me.

That seems be an idealised vision. Groups like Ruhama will still be needed because there will still be ladies who are forced into the work, (either by desperation or by other people), and will be looking for help, support and/or a way out.
Do you really think society would change its views on the industry? I don't. We are a long way from being relieved of the image of diseased crack whores.
I do agree that regulation and sex worker registration is the way forward though.

And make the client pay through the nose for the privilege and then give him a good kick in the nuts as he leaves the booking.!( just to keep him in his place )
