Anon, this isn't about friendship, its about first reactions/perceptions and do you not see that deciding on a persons character by the clothes they are wearing is not a million miles away from not liking people because of the colour of their skin!!!!

Hahahahaha, now I'm being racist towards tracksuit wearers
Look, you aren't going to change my mind, it's only in this country that wearing a tracksuit is widely acceptable, it's not, I don't know who thought it a good idea with the excuse they are comfortable, now we're at a stage where some people are wearing their PJ's ffs just because they are comfortable. BS, laziness is the real reason, couldn't be arsed getting dressed, what does that say about a person that habitually does it, quite a lot really.
Im far from a snob, far far from one but I wouldn't blanket call everyone that wears one on a regular basis a scanger but a very decent percentage are and the another high percentage are just lazy feckers..

I think we'll agree to differ on this one, my allusion to racism was merely to point out discrimination based upon appearance. I think you will find that in the US tracksuits are worn too.

We will, as far as the original topic I think it's pretty clear from the ladies that did reply and the silence of the others rushing the defence of tracksuite that it's not an openly acceptable attire to wear while visiting a lady..

Indeed and I agree, it is a different matter, a girl has to make a judgement on what she sees from her window or door and I would not question any girl's split second judgement, unless she was refusing to see me of course!!!

I agree with Anon (I find myself doing that a lot lately ) I think a tracksuit is suitable attire for kicking a football about in the park or slopping about in the house BUT for visiting a lady or going to a job interview shows a total lack of respect for said lady or possible employer.
