What happened to the modern courtesan?I see the current situation of many escorts.Each of us is different and unique in everything that we do.I am just sad seeing many gorgeous ladies going for a "low way" of this road.
Many of my female friends are retiring and going for a "normal" life...
Is this the end of true courtesans?I hope not,and for the special ladies here keep up the good work,I am sure each one of you has someone there that really appreciate your effort.

Totally agree Stephanie - great signature quotation Luana. It's one of my favourite quotations and something I try to remind myself of, when at work and getting very frustrated.

The original was a prayer written by Reinhold Niebuhr, a German thoelogian, around the time of the second World war.

This is the transcipt of the whole prayer/ quotation:

God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.

I certainly hope it isn't the end of the modern day courtesan!!!!!

I can't define the courtesan experience but certainly know when I've had it!. And I've had the privilege a couple of times and it is my prefered experience.

It's obviously every girls right to run her business the way she chooses. Many may have chosen to run a high volume service with more competitive fees, given the economic downturn - and that is their right. Again clients (or the market) may drive the way the industry/ service provision goes.

Apart from the excitement of seeing a new lady, one of my aims is to find girls that I will want to revisit over time. And inevitably these ladies fall into the category you mentioned above - "the modern courtesan".

And while things may be changing in the industry, I take solace in the fact that this is the oldest profession known to mankind and will withstand economic turbulent times in the long run.

Have to agree Morpheus. The courtesan experience is definitely the type I very much prefer.
Thankfully I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of "modern courtesans".
