Seriously though, there is another VERY prominent photographer on the site with a huge amount of ladies using him, are we to say they are all trafficked ? I know several 100% independent ladies that use him but his work does look very sus because so many girls use him. Coincidentally, I also heard that a registered photographer on here is running an agency, not charging the girls for his work and taking a percentage of their takings.

Thanks Kitty for spelling it out so clearly. And out of wholehearted disrespect for those "macho guys", or "Scum" for short, I will not be playing any musical chairs with those 11 highlighted girls (although I wish each of them only the very best).

Very true Kitty, but just because every punter has a dick, it doesn't mean that we all are one. Most guys who care about this sort of thing will make an effort and try to avoid those unfortunate girls who appear to be trafficked. We would prefer to point our dicks towards truly independent or at least truly willing girls. So any help we can get in this regard is appreciated I assure you.

You are also right when you say that this thread will probably turn into a fight. But so what? this issue is very serious and maybe we should fight a lot more about it. If it is not tackled by us, that just leaves organisations like Ruhama to deal with it. Then there will be no happy endings for anyone!

The problem is that when Ruhama step in, everyone cries, 'Leave sex workers be! Not everyone is trafficked!' but when it comes to the same chair in a group of pictures, it's a bloody big witch-hunt all of a sudden!

There is too much mob-mentality on these forums generally without actual facts, only speculation. There are obviously things going on that are sugar-coated, but there is collateral damage also. There have also been situations when certain escorts that have been regarded as absolutely 100% 'true' independents have been discovered to be not so very independent or nice, albeit they are nice to their clients.

The question is, when paying for an intimate encounter, what is a client really paying for? Relief with an escort that will keep 100% of the money you give her? How about those that choose to have an agent of some capacity and are happy to give a percentage to someone for their services? Does this make them bad? What about a lot of escorts that actually pay to BE trafficked into the country to work? Trust me, this does go on in a lot of trafficking cases, it's just that the scape-goat is usually, "Yes, I was trafficked! Please help me!" This usually results in a free ticket back home and a few euroes kept in the ol' sky-rocket.

Griff, whereas I applaud your firm stance I would like to clarify your argument. Firstly The number of true independents here is quite small… I would wonder even if there are as many as 20%. That means 80% pay a fee to somebody somewhere to work here. So the real question is, what percentage of girls are actually trafficked, i.e. work in this business against their will, or were brought to Ireland on the pretence of a job in “waitressing”, and ended up forced to work here as a prostitute instead.

As far as I know, of all the girls working in Ireland and advertising on E-I… there have been no reported cases of girls working against their will… Even the girls involved in the recent court proceedings in Romania, which are coming to a close in the next 2 weeks, were working here of their own free will, and under no pressure or duress. In fact the majority will admit that they prefer to work for a pimp as it is less hassle and easier for them.

So assuming we are all ok with the fact that girls that work for pimps are acceptable to visit, is it down to who the pimp is so.. Is it ok to visit girls that work for nice and fair pimps but not ok to visit girls that work for pricks? Unless a girl is truly independent somebody is going to make a profit from her work here, and based on the assumption that 80% of escorts working here are not truly independent where do you draw the line….

Im glad you have moved on from the defence that this is only being highlighted because the indies wanted to try and keep off the competition, The recent court case you mention also had 15-21 statements from ladies who were not brought to court or arrested. I think perhaps until that case is concluded you shouldnt speak too soon.
