    Default Liverpool striker Luis Suarez

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been suspended for eight matches and fined £40,000 by the Football Association.

Suarez was found guilty of misconduct after Manchester United defender Patrice Evra accused the Uruguay international of racially abusing him during the Premier League clash at Anfield on October 15.

The Reds forward can appeal against the unprecedented sanction and the suspension will not come into effect until after the outcome of any appeal hearing.

Liverpool have 14 days from the point when they receive the FA's written reasons for their decision to lodge an appeal, with the ban not beginning until this date has passed.

    Ehh.. no it wasn't mate
He mentioned the word negro, apparently a lot, in English and Spanish to Evra, not his ould wan.
His point was that saying this in Spanish, and in Uruguay, is perfectly acceptable.

Not in this part of the world though Luis, delighted he's gotten a nice lengthy ban, if Terry is proven to have said something similar he will get a hammering aswell, he deserves much worse than Suarez

He called Evra " Il Negrito" which is term commonly used all across South America and usually in a non derogatory way. Cant understand how they have found him guilty when they had independent language experts testify that the use of this term is used all over South America and across a lot of the Latin type cultures across Europe. Suarez's dad is black, therefore making him mixed race himself.

You know lads I was thinking, I wonder how the black teammates of these guys feel and do they say anything to the likes of Terry and LS when they are charged of racially abusing another player from another team?
