Default Do you agree? YES or NO.

    Simple question.

Errr, the question/point I was attempting to make doesn't work terribly well considering the supplementary post asked the same question, but with an accompanying photograph comparing poverty and excess.
Problem was, the photograph was of a starving African child and a morbidly obese Western child. Which, understandably, broke forum rules.
I apologise for the resulting absence of any context and/or irony.

I was lucky enough to be on time to see the comparison being made, albeit it broke posting rules, I will answer again as I did then, Yes I agree Capitalism is not working.

Capitalism will always be there and so I suppose the question is how best the wealth can be spread to those much less fortunate than us.
Bill Gates has shown the way to go. On a personal level we should all give more. As a Dad the pictures of starving children does hit hard.
The boy in McD's was the subject of a documentary. He's from Kazakstan were he is a celebrity because of his weight. Sign that you are doing well.

Funny thing about Capitalism the first real threat to it came from Ireland in the first commune in Co Clare, it worked but was destroyed by the ruling British government as they thought it was a danger to their power. So maybe Capitalism doesn't have to always be there. On a slight aside, I saw a good post on a social network referring to the death of Steve Jobs....One man dies Millions cry....millions die no one crys (referring to famine in Africa)

    I used to.
I've written books about grass-roots efforts to topple the system (not that that makes my opinion any more valid).
But capitalism needn't necessarily = monopoly... which appears to be the way the system has evolved, or determined itself to be.
The slogan From each according to their ability; To each according to their need is a worthy one... but it strikes me that there's a square that could be circled if people were a bit more accountable or responsible.

A many-headed Hydra: concentration(s) of wealth; overpopulation; underpopulation; depopulation; stupidity and ignorance; entrenchment of power and influence.

    Fuck it.
It'll all be different when I'm in charge.

I don't think capitalism is the problem. I think the problem is politicians don't know how to manage money, period and they control what happens in the larger world terms. What is happening in Africa is nothing to do with Capitalism and is all about climate, again something politicians chose to do nothing about.

yes it has its faults. but i wouldnt want to live in a communist system like for example Cuba, where the Doctors earn only slightly more than say a bar tender. not that there is anything wrong in being a bar tender. but what would inspire people to acheive more educationally and professionally to give their families a better life. I dont believe in the communist way of life, and i am not a socialist either, so what are the alternatives?
