Do you not think they are aware of the stigmas & are not adressing them ? There is a succession plan & it can only happen slowly in order to keep the followers on board in the north, while trying to present a more acceptable face in the south.
I don't mean to argue with you but she failed with FF and my god they have a habit of failing but my point is not any one person within sinn fein it's there whole ethos it's the way they portray themselfs being the do gooder's appeasing to the suffering, we are all suffering it's all relative but sinn fein do use bully boy tactics they do have links to criminal activity smuggling booze, fuel etc. My avatar would be proud of them.... But when you see first hand what they can do you understand heres another one a guy lost his business and wife had no money so he was told to leave the country after he could not pay his bills to a supplier in Belfast, he was set apon by 3 thugs who beat the shite out of him after he left hospital he turned on the tv one night and there 2 of the thugs were standing beside McGuiness and co. he now resides in Australia the gave him a visa ???? Oh the the power they have

Young Dumb and Full of Cum is the old phrase for them.

Reminds me a little of those that supported extremist groups back in the 1930's and more recently in Eastern Europe after the fall of Communism.

Seriously, my political thinking used to be listen to what Sin Fein are doing and vote the opposite
Over the years though they have actually from what I have read anyway had some good economic polices for the last election. Does anyone think they would have gotten more or less votes if they didnt have a paramilitary past?

They haven't gone away you know.
    Gerry Adams
About the IRA. Adams was addressing a demonstration in Belfast in August 1995, when a member of crowd called out to him to "bring back the IRA". In an unscripted reply Adams made this remark.

Look at what happened just before the queen came over.

Martian has said he is no longer in the RA
If he is believed that is a different matter.

We are not talking about Sin Fein becoming governement we are talking about Martin running for president

I have my eyes wide open Sperminater. I don't wanna fight with anyone. The IRA did vile things & I won't even try to justify them by telling how awful the Brits & Unionists were but they have to be given a chance to normalise.
I long for the day that I can have an ideological argument based solely on political policies, because I like SF's socialist credentials. I always find it strange that the people in the communities that they perpetrated their crimes have largely moved on & accepted them, whereas there seems to be a different moral code in the south.
Don't get me started on cronieism though ..................................

In fact, labour are associated with a paramilitary organisation. The Irish Citizen Army, albeit back in the 'good IRA' days (as revisionists like to think).
