Default Gary Oldman in Tinker Tailor...

Have you seen this film? What did you think?

I liked it but would hardly see it as it has been billed as "the movie event of the year"!

It is very good but is a bit dull.

And what really makes me laugh is the talk about Gary Oldman's brilliant performance.

He spends most scenes in silence and with the same expression on his face. And does that very well. But hardly merits an Oscar nomination as I've seen mentioned.

I prefer him in Harry Potter

And I've seen better acting in a 30 minute appointment

I'm dying to see it Bruno (i have a wee thing for tom hardy lol ) but i ordered the book online as i'd like to read that first but is bigger than war and peace so i may have to wait till the dvd is out. The book is always better than the movie, if you watch the movie forst then read the book your blinkered by the actors and lose your own imagination while reading.... sorry i sound a bit of a saddo there but i love the escapism of reading a good book lol xxx

well are you going to read the book, thats what you prefer, or
are you going to wait for the dvd? maybe this time, seeing as you're so
eager to watch it, you could go to the cinema? i might give it a look during the
    week myself. )))

A bit disappointing to hear that Bruno. I had expected better after reading the reviews. But then again I should have known better to see through the hype.

I am a Gary Oldman fan. I think he has done some great roles. I still plan to see it but thanks for letting me know not to expect to much.

i'm not great at reading fiction, my eyes tire. i know many
people who really enjoy novels and visualising them. i like films.

enjoy your book Annabelle and a cordial welcome to the boards. x

I have to say Tom Hardy's full frontal nude scene was entirely unnecessary in my opinion and very embarrassing for us watching who don't have massive cocks !

Yes, I'm sure I will feel offended as a man when I see it. Expect an irate letter in the Irish Times.
