It bothers you peoples that are coming from other contries to work here or to live here? Because i know a lots of countries that they don't have a good reputation and if they are going in other contries they are seen with other eyes .... can you give me a nationality ex that you try to stay away ?

I have no issue at all with people from other countries coming here to work - Ireland has been exporting people all over the world for generations looking for work so it would be a bit hypocritical to suddenly put up the shutters now just because things are a bit tight here now.

I have worked in America, UK, Spain and Holland and although the odd idiot will make you feel unwelcome by and large I had a great time.

Welcome to Ireland.

i embrace multi-culturism, i feel Ireland's gene pool
has been relatively insular, historically. i would like to see many more
people come and live here in the hope it would help the economy.

I have absolutely no problem with people from any nationality coming here to work pay taxes and generally contribute to society in order to better their standard of living. What I have a major problem is with people coming here to sponge off society a d that are generally only interested in what they can take rather than give and unfortunately it is these individuals that are giving all others a bad name and making Irish nationals very cautious when it comes to dealing with people from other countries and sorry to say but IMO African nationals fair the worst...

Irish people went all around the world to work.
If people want to come here, work hard and make a better life for themselves, that's great.

Anon got it spot on. Most Irish people welcome people from all over who come here to WORK .A large proportion of African and Romanians are only here to sponge and scam our loophole ridden welfare system.We all know nice Africans but they are all tarnished by the bad ones

I have to disagree with you there Ryder, I welcome all nationalities and I believe it is wrong that we even have an immigration policy, that is what creates the camps of "spongers" as some people see them, when in fact as a state we refuse them the right to work and pay taxes!!! In my experience, Africans and Romanians that I have met are among the hardest working and most honest people you could meet. I get angry when I hear people talking about spongers, few if any people leave their homeland to come here to sponge. There is the beginnings of the "why should they get our benefits attitude" developing because of the economy, that is short sighted and wrong. Many foreign nationals have been here working and paying tax so they are entitled to the benefits. I am thinking of going to another EU country to look for work, I will be entitled to benefit while I am looking for it, and if its right for me as an Irishman then its right for other nationalities too.

People are first and foremost people, secondly gender and somewhere below that nationality.

it does not bother me in the slightest that foreigner's are coming here to work,i welcome the fact that they wish to stay and spend there money here
